Arrange and fund transports by rescues (pay for van or gas, easing C.A.R.E.'s workload and costs)
Develop relationships with shelters in remote Colorado areas to transport animals to local rescues
Find more sources of rescue for cats
Jake's Fund was introduced in October 2008 to help shelter animals with heartworm and other special needs. This will increase their chance of being accepted into a rescue and finding proper adoption. In 2009, C.A.R.E. hopes to raise enough funds to help several needy animals per month.
Continue to pay for at least one spay/neuter per month
Continue to be a resource to shelters and rescues by finding food and supply donations from distributors and pet stores for distribution
Develop educational materials to be distributed in shelters and by rescues for the necessity to spay/neuter, adopt instead of shop for pets, and being responsible animal owners.
Increase volunteer base and pet overpopulation awareness in all geographic locations
Find corporate and grant funding to finance all operations.
