On February 11, 2009, 30 spectacular dogs and 3 darling cats jumped aboard from southern Missouri and various locations in Kansas. There were many special animals on this transport. We had the married couple, Sully the Akita and his girlfriend, Josie, a possible pretty mix of border collie and pointer. Also, traveling were Romeo and Juliet, two very special needs kitties. Cyrus, a 3 legged cattle dog from Hiawatha, stole Linda's heart and she is temporarily fostering him for ARF. Then there was Raggedy Ann, a skinny lab mix who was burned with acid and had an eye injury. She was spotted by one of our drivers, Chet, on a previous transport, and we brought her to Colorado to join Chet's family forever. Each animal has a story, most of them are sad, and their lives will be so much brighter and safer in Colorado. Here are a few of the passengers that smiled for the camera when changing vans for their last leg to Colorado.
