Since March of 2012, C.A.R.E. has been supporting the programs of Soul Dog Rescue on the tribal lands in the Four Corners region. Their organization is proactive in animal welfare and promotes spay and neuter as the most solid and lasting way to control pet-overpopulation. We share that same vision and admire their aggressive commitment to do at least 2 clinics a month. Soul Dog does the hard and dirty work and they spend serious hours driving to these remote locations year-round!

Soul Dog Rescue travels to rural and distant communities on Native American reservations to provide spay/neuter surgeries and administer vaccines. They have experienced veterinary professionals who provide high-volume, high-quality sterilization services. There is never a set fee – they just ask for donations if the owner is able to contribute. Now there are wait lists for almost every clinic because of the trust they have earned in these area.

C.A.R.E. contributes to the cost of surgical supplies, medications and gas for transporting surrendered, abandoned and injured animals back to their Fort Lupton, Colorado shelter for care, socialization and loving placement. At times, we also help with Jake’s Fund donations and funds for pet food to be purchased for needy owners. Soul Dog has done such an amazing job helping the battered Navajo Nation during the pandemic. We are so proud to support their mission.
